Build rejected for a missing privacy manifest or an undeclared required-reason API

After you upload a build, Apple emails you an ITMS-9105x notice — a required-reason API you use has no declared reason, or a third-party SDK you bundle has no privacy manifest or signature — and the build won't go through until you add one.

Apple said something like

ITMS-91053: Missing API declaration — Your app's code in the “[target]” file references one or more APIs that require reasons, including the following API categories: NSPrivacyAccessedAPICategoryUserDefaults. While no action is required at this time, starting May 1, 2024, when you upload a new app or app update, you must include a NSPrivacyAccessedAPITypes array in your app's privacy manifest to provide approved reasons for these APIs used by your app's code.
ITMS-91061: Missing privacy manifest — Your app includes “[SDK name]”, which requires a privacy manifest. Add a privacy manifest to your app, and reach out to the SDK provider for more information.
ITMS-91065: Missing signature — Your app includes “[SDK name]”, which requires a signature. Add or update the code signature for the SDK and upload your app again.
